Mace Windu Costume Review from Sarah

 

Dear Jedi-Robe,

We went to Secret Cinema on Sunday and it was AMAZING!!! I hadn’t dared to hope it was so immersive. I got arrested by an imperial officer then got sprung from jail! Did some spice trading and had a cocktail in the cantina. I had no idea that it was possible for an event to be so enjoyable. I’m hoping to go back again.

I was (very briefly) interviewed on Radio 4 on Saturday morning about my Jedi costume. If you’re interested, it was in the last 10 minutes of Saturday Live and it’s on iPlayer. With it being BBC, I couldn’t get away with advertising but I made sure I mentioned a certain ‘specialist shop’ in London where I got the costume.

I made some small modifications to my own costume just to make it easy to dress quickly (Velcro is our friend!). We got lots of lovely compliments at the event – and in the restaurant beforehand.

I attach some photos for you. The one of my partner was taken the night I surprised him with his costume. He got straight into character!
